As many of you know, our family experienced a serious medical emergency in December that required us to step away from the café for a time.

During that period we explored several options to transition the business to new ownership so it could continue serving the Eaton community. Unfortunately we were unable to reach a workable lease arrangement that would allow the sale to move forward.

We’re grateful for the support the community showed us and proud of what we built together.

This café has always been about the community - a place to gather, slow down, and share life over good coffee. That hasn’t changed.

We’ve made the decision during our pause in operations to explore the sale of the café so it can continue in a way that’s sustainable for the long term. Carrying it forward ourselves isn’t the right path, but it matters deeply to us that this space remains a coffee shop serving the community.

If there’s a local owner or group who has the heart, capacity, and experience to take it on, we would love to see it stay rooted right here. Anyone with serious interest is welcome to reach out privately for more information.

Thank you for the kindness, encouragement, and support you’ve shown. This place exists because of the people, and we’re grateful for that.

We want to share an important update with our community.

Starting Monday we’re taking the remainder of the year to reset and refine so we can return in 2026 with a stronger, more consistent experience. This isn’t a closure it’s a strategic pause to make sure what we offer is something we can stand behind for the long term.

Over the past year, we’ve learned that doing this well requires focus, strong systems, and the right foundation behind the scenes. Without that, it’s not fair to our customers - and quality always suffers.

We believe this place is worth doing right.

This reset allows us to:
• Strengthen systems and operations
• Create consistency in quality and service
• Build the structure needed to deliver the experience you expect and deserve

Our goal isn’t to rush back - it’s to relaunch with clarity, intention, and a foundation built to last.

We’re grateful for the support, encouragement, and belief our community has shown us. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 - stronger, steadier, and better prepared than ever.

Winter finally arrived and it brought the early nights with it.❄️

We held out as long as we could, but once the sun goes down our shop turns into a quiet little ghost town. After 4pm, most of Eaton is already home, cozy, and winding down… and we’re just standing here with a perfectly clean espresso machine.

So it’s time for our winter hours to kick in.

Starting Dec 1:
Mon–Sat: 6:30am–4pm
Sunday: 8am–4pm

We’ll bring back later hours when the days get longer and everyone starts emerging again in the spring/summer.

Thanks for understanding and for keeping us your morning + daytime stop. Stay warm out there. ☕️🧣
