“So this happened in Montana. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over by a police officer.

I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying.

Both brake lights decided to go out this time.

As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said,

"Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out."

So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month.

So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.

He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk.

He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on.

So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.

Then worked on the wiring under the dash.

He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role to make sure I was straight.

By the way HE FIXED THEM. Not everyone is racist, or a bad cop.”

Hi Friends. Someone messaged me about the lady bug tea pot set. Then I had a death in the family. Now that that’s all over with I tried to find our conversation about the tea pot he wanted but I can’t find it. If you read this please contact me at +1 (309) 613-4570. Or I will be at the diner at 10:00 on Thursday for most of the day, stop in.

Also if anyone is interested in any of our wall hangings or any other thing we might have to sell come in Thursday and have a look. We will work it out. Also I still have eggs. 30 in a flat. $4 a flat. Please bring cartons if you want less. Thank you. I might have a few other things available.

Hi Junebugs Friends. I’m ready to make a post now. Sorry it’s not sooner but i wasn’t ready. As many of you now know, Junebugs Diner has sadly closed its doors.

We are in the process of selling the building, not the business . I have spread some misinformation that I was misinformed about. The people who own Peoria Schooners and Gebbys are not buying Junebugs.

However I do believe it’s still going to operate as a restaurant. What kind I’m not clear on at this point. This is bittersweet for me. I loved this business so I will miss the daily life I had for the last 9 years.

Here’s the sweet part, I still love my friends and loyal customers and I’m not ready to just throw in the towel on the people who have been my Family for many years now.

So I’m doing something a little different with hopefully some of the same people I’ve came to love. It is my idea that I’d like to offer a service to some of my elderly customers or single customers or even families.

I want to help people in a way that is greatly needed here in this community. I don’t know exactly what to call this but I would like to provide rides to drs. appointments, grocery stores or any other assistance that I may be able to offer. I can clean houses, cook dinners, make pies and desserts. Run to the store for people. Take a walk or any other activity they might need help with.

I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant with a current liscense. So if there were some medical assistance I could provide like showers or sitting with a loved one to give a family member a break. I think that I would really enjoy this new path in my life.

I am working out some fees and hours once I get the ball rolling. For right now I can be booked with a 3 hour minimum which will essentially change to 2 or 4 when I see what kind of need there is for this type of service. Right now I’m open to many tasks but if there’s a specific need for something I will definitely be open to consideration.

Good Morning Friends. Welcome to Gina’s Jams Thursday. I will be playing some great tunes at Junebugs today. Come down and have some fun for breakfast or lunch.

Our Lunch Special Today is a Big Tenderloin and fries for $10.99 or a Hot Tenderloin Sandwich for $8.25. We will be featuring our Appetizer Sampler Platter for $9.99. Mushrooms, Cheddar Cheese Balls, Onion Rings, and Mozzarella Stix.

We still have our Weekday Breakfast Special until 9am for $6.99. 2 Eggs, Meat, Potatoes, and Toast.

I don’t have a cake or pie dessert yet today but I have a couple kinds of Ice Cream and Toppings. I can make a Delicious Sundae of your choosing. Hopefully I’ll see you today or Tomorrow. Have a Blessed Day!

Good Morning Friends and Family! We’d love for you to come celebrate our 9th year in business today at Junebugs Diner.

Our Saturday Breakfast Special is a 10-12 oz Ribeye Steak Breakfast with 2 Eggs, Potatoes, and Toast for $10.99.

For Lunch we will be featuring our Taco Salad in a deep fried tortilla bowl with salsa and sour cream as well as our Loaded Nachos, and Breakfast Burrito all for $8.25 each.

All the Staff at Junebugs Diner would like to Thank you for all your patronage and support for the last nine years. Good Morning Junebugs Friends. Welcome to this gorgeous Friday! Our Lunch Special today is Homemade Lasagna with Garlic Toast.

For dessert we will be wrapping up the Pumpkin Cheesecake. I have been attempting a Pineapple upside-down cake all morning, but we have been blessed with some great business today. I anticipate getting it done before close today.
