A Message to Our Valued Customers:
We would like to take a moment to address some rumors and misinformation circulating regarding the temporary closure of D’s Diner.
First and foremost, D’s Diner was NOT closed by the Health Department.
In fact, we have successfully passed every health inspection throughout the past 3.5 years since opening our doors. We take great pride in maintaining a clean, safe environment and serving our customers quality, freshly prepared food.
The truth behind our temporary closure is this:
After 3.5 years of operating within good faith, equipment passing inspection , and passing all health inspections and having required licenses ,
Now certain requirements / codes are imposed after 3.5 years by the East Liverpool Fire Department, along with our business being targeted by certain members of the city
We were faced with having to remove nearly every essential piece of cooking equipment we’ve had since day one that is necessary to properly operate our kitchen and prepare hot MTO food our customers have come to know and love.
We can serve multiple other items but we have chosen not to.
We want to make something very clear: We could reopen our doors at our current location today. However, reopening without the proper equipment would mean compromising the quality of food and service we stand behind.
We refuse to resort to serving our customers premade, precooked, or microwavable meals simply to keep our doors open. That is NOT what D’s Diner was built on, and that is NOT the standard we intend to offer our customers.
Therefore, we made the business decision to temporarily close while we relocate to a new location right here in town.
This decision also allows us to dedicate our full attention, time, and resources to making the relocation process as smooth and quick as possible so we can get back to doing what we love — serving our community!
While we understand that people may have questions, we respectfully ask that anyone seeking information about our business reach out to us directly rather than spreading rumors, making assumptions, or sharing false information about our closure.
We have worked incredibly hard over the past 3.5 years to build our business, establish relationships with our customers, and become part of this community. We will not allow misinformation to overshadow that hard work or the reputation we have built.
To our loyal customers, family, friends, and everyone who continues to support D’s Diner — THANK YOU! Your encouragement, patience, and continued support mean more to us than words can express.
This is NOT goodbye. This is simply a temporary pause as we prepare for a bigger and better chapter of D’s Diner!
We’ll be reopening very soon.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back, continuing to serve the fresh, homemade food you love, and bringing even more to the table at our new location.
