🌾🍂 Bringing a Farmers Market to East Chicago 🍂🌾

East Chicago doesn’t currently have a farmers market, so we’re excited to bring one to our community right here at Nutrition 101. 🤎

We’re still looking for a few more local vendors and creatives to help make this a special day:

🥕 Local farmers & produce vendors — fresh fruits, vegetables, and farm-fresh products
🌮 Mexican food truck — we’d love to have a local food truck serving Mexican food
🎶 Music artists / musicians — local artists who would like to perform and bring some music to the market
🎨 Artists, makers & small businesses — handmade products, art, crafts, and more

Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming Sunday morning for the community to come out, shop small, enjoy good food and music, and support local businesses. 🤎

Nutrition 101 Farmers Market Vendors — PLEASE BE AWARE!

We want to make everyone aware of an individual who has been reaching out to people interested in becoming vendors for our Nutrition 101 Farmers Market and requesting vendor payments.

We have NOT authorized this person to collect vendor fees or payments on behalf of Nutrition 101. Please do NOT send money through Chime, Zelle, Cash App, or any other payment method to anyone claiming to collect payment for our event unless you have confirmed it directly with us.

Someone recently contacted us asking whether they should send a vendor fee to this individual, which immediately raised concerns. We are sharing this warning because we do not want anyone in our community or any of our vendors to lose money.

If you are interested in being a vendor, please only submit your application and payment through the official information provided directly by Nutrition 101.
