To our Lake Meade community,

With heavy hearts, we’re announcing that Driftwood at the Lake’s last day of operation will be December 13, 2026.

This was not an easy decision, and it is not the outcome we had hoped for. We believed we had a path to continue serving the Lake for at least another three years through the renewal provisions in our lease. After management raised the possibility of changing the lease, the discussions that followed left us concerned about the terms moving forward and our ability to maintain a workable relationship. Ultimately, we made the difficult decision not to renew.

We remain open to a respectful, direct conversation with the Association’s president or Board. For now, December 13 remains our final operating day.

But from now until then, the show will go on. We’ll keep serving your favorites, welcoming our neighbors, and making the most of the time we have together. Our Halloween night is still happening, and we look forward to sharing it with you!

We are also exploring opportunities to open a location in New Oxford or Hanover. Nothing is confirmed yet, but we’re hopeful about what’s ahead and will share updates as our plans develop.

It has been an honor to be part of the Lake Meade community and serve you. To everyone who stopped in for dinner, brought the family for ice cream, supported our events, or encouraged our staff: thank you. You helped make this place more than a restaurant.

We hoped to have many more years here. While this chapter is coming to a close, we still have memories to make before December 13.

With gratitude,
The Driftwood at the Lake Family
