Next Class - June 17th!
"French Vegetable Tart & Steak 101"
Start the class with a glass of rose and some French cheeses to enjoy while we cook! In this hands on class you will learn how to prepare your own spring inspired aspargus & gruyere puff pastry tart, followed by learning about and executing the most common French method for cooking steak: searing it in a smoking-hot pan to create a deeply browned crust and finishing it with a red wine pan sauce. (we will make some horseradish cream too!) Once prepared, you will sit down to dine with your classmates and finish the meal with our housemade sabayon and berries!

NOW AVAILABLE, Ice cream sandwiches! Delicious, soft chocolate sandwich cookie with 3 different ice cream fillings available with more to come! Vanilla, roasted banana and strawberry flavors now on the shelf. Made with all gluten free ingredients! $5/ each or 1 punch on your punch card, same as the ice cream cups!

Do you know about our ice cream punch cards!?!? we are gearing up for summer, schools out in a few days and what your kid might need is an ice cream punch card! Good for cups of ice cream or sorbet, the way it works: you pay in advance for 10 cups, but your punchcard has 12 punches on it, we can hold the card with your name on it at the store, this is a great way to not worry about losing the card and also send your kids over for ice cream without having to send them with money! Lots of flavors in stock! And making more every day!

We've got a new soup at FOODsmith Prep this week (318 Broadway in eagle),
Janie's Wisconsin beer cheese soup! For those of you who were blessed to work with her, be friends with her and enjoy this wonderful soup whenever she made it, please know that we have done our best to prepare this soup just like Janie did!
We also want to let everyone know that starting in June our hours of operation at the store will be increasing!!!!
We will be open noon until seven Tuesday through Saturday, then our plan is to add Mondays beginning in July!

Learn to make a Modern Salade Niçoise:
Start the evening with a classic plat du fromage and a glass of Gruner Veltliner and then learn to make the classic French salad from Nice, traditionally featuring tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, Niçoise olives, potatoes, haricot vert and tuna, dressed with your own handmade vinaigrette.

The “modern” part is that we will make it with pan seared, still raw in the center (or not if you do not want it to be) ahi tuna instead of canned tuna and prepare a perfect soft boiled egg instead of the classic hard boiled egg!

Sit down to miniature chef prepared Vichysoisse (chilled potato leek soup), followed by YOUR salad!

Finish off the night with house made chocolates & butter cookies!

OK, what you need to do is put this on your to-do list for TUESDAY:
Foodsmith is offering a crazy good Mother's Day Special!:
Buy mama a $100 gift card that can be used in our store or she could put toward a cooking class and get a free box of a dozen housemade, caramel filled chocolates, $20 value !!!
We suggest that you do this on Tuesday's, because i've already closed for the day and we are closed Sunday & Monday, but Tuesday through Friday we are open from noon until six and if you're really desperate, we are open on Saturday the ninth from 11 until four!  318 Broadway and Eagle
