Color Coffee Roasters is a craft coffee company with a roastery and coffee bar in Eagle, CO. For This quest has been realized at our flagship location in Eagle.

Founded by the father-son duo of Clark and Charlie Gundlach in 2016, Color is focused on providing world-class coffee to the beautiful Vail Valley with a fanatical attention to quality, careful craftsmanship, innovative techniques, and focused simplicity. ur beloved Probat P-12. Our roasting program focuses developing the sweetest, most complex, and juiciest roasts we possibly can. In addition to in-house roasted coffee we also serve tea from Song Tea, craft beer from artisan brewers, locally baked breads and pastries, and a rotating menu of seasonally crafted signature beverages.

Prism (Our Premium Blend)

We’ve been playing around with this new blend in Eagle for the last 6 months or so. It’s finally ready to get into the rotation on a regular basis.

Prism is a canvas to throw our favorite coffees into and blend to our heart’s content. Our dream blend. It’s an exercise in keeping an open mind AND a space for creativity.

Right now, we’re blending Ethiopia Kolla Bolcha and Guatemala Flavio. Except exotic bright and deep caramel sweetness. Great as espresso or filter. Roasted for maximum brewability without roastiness, just how we like it. Enjoy!

Here we go!

Mexico Juan Lopez is live on ColorRoasters.com in our fresh new bags. One of our favorite producers from the tiny pueblo of San Pedro Yosotatu. This coffee is redolent with deep sweetness and a blood orange twang that lifts the cup to greatness.

So delicious as espresso as well. We’ve been pulling incredible shots at the cafe for the last couple weeks.

There are tiny few people that have been more integral to the success of me, my brand, and my life than Andy Clark. Andy was an early adopter of Color. They were our first “big” account. Sending them 35 pounds of Primary in 2016 was absolutely monumental for us. As they grew, so did we. Amaza wouldn’t even exist without him for god’s sake!

More than that, though, he was a mentor and a friend. He felt like a free life coach, and I know many people who felt the same. We’re gonna miss you man. We’re going to miss drinking cortados and whiskey with you. I’m gonna miss sending you bags of Walter Penna (his favorite all-time coffee).

The stories of Andy being a champion for the underdog are true. The stories of Andy being an advocate for everyone (except monsanto) are true. The stories of his selflessness are true. It’s all true. What is also true is that he wasn’t taking care of his own darkness and despair. And that truth ended up being the most real and potent of all. Andy, rest in peace my dude. I sure appreciate your work, legacy, and love.

Artist Reserve: Mexico Honorato is LIVE

I’m super excited to get this coffee out to the world! A single producer coffee from the Mixteca highlands of Oaxaca from our friend Honorato Aparacio. This coffee is a fruit bomb of a washed Mexican coffee. One of the best I’ve tasted, sin duda.

Clean and sweet like a washed coffee but layered with supple stone fruits and ripe red fruits from secret processing techniques. You just have to taste this one!
