Dave is back from warm Wisconsin with deer meat in the freezer and said.."you better let everyone know that Pastatively will be at the Berry Creek middle school winter fair this Saturday...
While Dave was away Roberto was slavingboverva hot stove working on two new Pasta sauces that will be introduced at the Saturday fair...What are they you ask...
First Roberto opened a bottle of wine and the next thing you know he came up with a Green Chili Marinara sauce...He likes this because it can be used just over Pasta as an alternative sauce, or add some of the green chili sauce to a cream sauce base for a little zing, or ifvyou find yourself needing some salsa and don't feel like running to the Supermaket...just add some chopped red onion and maybe some jalapeños and "BANG"...you'll be a football hero...
Next. after he opened the lid on the plastic container and did some packing...he came up with Chipotle Tomato Pasta Sauce...He liked the combination of the heat and the smokey flavor of the Chipotle...He said this would be great with some grilled sausage and sauteed peppers over Pasta or if you wanted to do it Alforno style like we did at Pastatively...then break up the sausage or by sausage meat, saute it up with some olive oil until just cooked, add the sauce.. bring it to a boil...toss in some penne pasta or your favorite shape...top it with some parmesan and smoked mozzarella...throw it in a 425 degree oven...well place gently in the oven and let it bake until the cheese gets all bubbly and melted...The fam is going to love it..."AND YOULL LOVE IT TOO"...
Dave said let everyone know we will also have our Marinara and Tomato sauce as well and Roberto will be selling his 100% recyclable Colorado candles...no two are alike...
Hope to see you there and.. Ciao e sta bene

Dave said let everyone know again that they can now find our Pastatively sauces at the end of aisle 19 in the Avon City Market...If you are in Edwards and don't feel like going to Avon, there is always the Village Market at Riverwalk selling Pastatively sauces as well..You will find them on the pasta sauce aisle on the bottom shelf and of course you can also find Pastatively sauces on the last end cap across from the dairy section at the Eagle City Market...Roberto wanted to share a couple of ideas for you wanna be chefs at home that are easy and guaranteed to be crowd pleasers.Take a jar of Pastatively Marinara and add some chopped red or green onion, some chopped jalapeño peppers, some fresh cilantro, and squeeze of lime and maybe a couple of chopped tomatoes from the garden...stir it all up and as Emeril would say "Bam" you have yourself an Ital Mex salsa...With football season coming up what more do you want, maybe some mussels...Ok you can whip this simple appetizer up while the commercials are running...Have your mussels prep and ready to go, some chopped or sliced or smashed garlic, some sliced shallots, white wine or dry marsala for a little sweetness, and lastly Pastatively Marinara sauce...oh youll need a 10 or 12 inch skillet depending on the size of the batch of mussels...
Ok the commercial is on so start now, turn te heat on high, add the garlic and shallots, shake it up, as soon as the garlic and shallots show signs of turning add the mussels cover and let steam open for about a minute, remove cover be careful for the steam, add a shot or 2 of wine let it come to a boil, add some fresh basil, or parsley, enough Marinara to cover the bottom of skillet and the mussels, cover again let it come to a boil, it won't take long, then shut it down...Go back to the game...Next commercial turn the mussels back on, lay out some bread or toast or croutons..once the mussels have come back to a boil, add them to a big serving bowl with the bread and an empty bowl for the shells and then its back to go Broncos..Enjoy...

And this is the dinner I made for my dinner date and myself while roasting the garlic ...Inused the garlic oil for the salad, to brush the grilled zuchinni, to flavor the broccoli, and coat the pork roast...and yes those are the one and only tater tots served with a side of Roberto's dipping ketchup with a dash or two of Cholula Chipotle sauce and of course a little of that flavorful garlic oil..on a side note for all you bird hunters out there name that bird...

On my last post I mentioned the fact that after 4 months of trying Pastatively is now on the shelf at the City Market location in Avon as well as our local Eagle City Market, and in Edwards at the well known Village Market...but for some reason or another ( smart phone, dumb operator ) that part of the post ended up in the new Meta verse...
The question was asked what can you do with a jar of Pastatively Marinara and the #1 requested recipe for today was Tomato Basil soup...So if you follow the attached pics you will be on your way to Chefdom...
To this simple recipe for a quick an easy summer meal...add some orzo pasta or ditalini pasta along with grilled chicken...or for a little seafood twist once you have reached the consistency you like add some baby shrimp...then cover turn off heat...and when ready to serve bring back to temp...The shrimp will cook in the hot soup and we turn the soup off so they don't over cook...
If you really want to keep it simple add some oyster crackers and enjoy..
ps: the soup came out delicious and total time from start to finish was about 25 minutes...approach love and cooking with reckless abandon...using the TB soup as a base what would you add..ciao e sta bene

ge Market, and now lastly the Avon City Market...During this hiatus from the restaurant business Dave and Roberto have been trying out some new sauces like our Diavlo sauce, Puttannesca sauce, Spicy Pizza sauce, and Roberto's Chipotle Marinara, and they hope to be introducing them sometime in the near future...In the meantime Dave said let's start sharing some recipes that are an easy make for the home cook...So Roberto said... "what do we start with"...Dave said how about something easy like tomato basil soup, or for the daredevil, Pan seared Cod in a Puttanesca sauce...Drop a line and we'll start with the most requested...
Ciao for now

Roberto said you better let everyone know the bad news...There's no easy way to say it, and Roberto would be put in Facebook jail if if he did so I'll take the fall...
This Saturday we be the last hurrah for Pastatively...😒
It has been a long past year and a half with out a break for the boys and they're spent...Dave has been reduced to a pot of tomato sauce and if Gregg does another saute he might turn into a frying pan...We don't say anything about Roberto because he could go over the edge at any moment....
The dining room crew has put up the good fight, but it's a merry go round situation trying
to cover it....So with the mental health of the crew at stake Roberto said he's deeply sorry and hopes you understand...
Thanks again for your continued support over the past 17 years...

Well it's the last Crazy Tuesday on Wednesday here at Pastatively...yes it's an end to Crazy Tuesday as we know it🤪
😒.....
Have no fear the memories will live on...from memorable culinary favorites to Roberto's shouting and Crazy antics along with the hungry hoarde of eager patrons ready to storm the Bastille for Eggplant parmigiane and Penne Toscano...
Everyone asks Roberto what he's going to do after Pastatively closes...He's kept it a secret but I heard it from the Bat phone that he has volunteered to be a part of the SpaceX program to either Mars or the Moon...So look up you might see him smiling back at you...
Stay tuned to this Bat Channel...but 1st a trivia question "who played batman in the TV serial"...stay tuned as to when the last day is...it's anybody's guess right now between no help and some help and a loss of mental help🤔...We're hoping for Friday but it looks like you might be waiting on yourself, but we're trying to make it so if you have reservation call to make sure we're here.. 🤯...

Now to answer those questions floating around the grapevine... Dave and Roberto want to say....
"Sommelier Scott and Chef Fernando will be taking over the Pastatively space and bringing Ti Amo and their Cuccina to Eagle...and we wish them buona Fortuna....
Pastatively pasta sauce will still be available at our Eagle City Mkt and the Village Mkt. in Edwards...we'll keep you posted on that side of the mountain...
