It is with great sadness that we announce the impending closure of The Assembly. Our last service will be Saturday, August 20th. We hope you'll join us between now and then to enjoy a few more fresh, seasonal and globally-inspired meals. Reservations are available through 8/19 (the 20th will be walk-in only).
We know everyone is feeling the squeeze of our current global circumstances. While we hoped for a bounce back after the holiday Omicron outbreak, the challenges of inflation, staffing shortages, and a looming recession cumulatively proved too much to overcome.
The past two years have been harder than anyone could have predicted. We opened during a pandemic, navigated mask mandates and social distancing, and survived nights when one positive test could shut our doors for the evening.
We are incredibly proud of what we and our team have accomplished since August 10th, 2020. The people who helped make The Assembly happen are some of the most caring, genuine, hardworking, creative, and passionate people we've ever known. The Assembly was never meant to be a family business, but what we've built here is a family.
Thank you to our family and friends for standing by our side through it all. Thank you for filling our restaurant with your smiles, being a shoulder to cry on, watching Bea so we could work, and cheering us on. You've been there for every high and every low, and we are forever grateful.
It has been an absolute joy to share The Assembly with you. Thank you for supporting us, for bearing with us as our concept evolved, and for sharing your joy with us in the dining room. It has been our greatest pleasure to care for you and your loved ones in an extension of our home.
This decision was not an easy one, but we know it is the right one. Our greatest priority from the moment the door opened was to care: For ourselves, for our staff, and for our community. And now the time is right to pause and breathe.
We do not know what is next for The Assembly, but once we've had a chance to grieve and recharge (and relive so many incredible memories), we will be in a place where we can dream about the future.
We love you,
Caleb, Jaimie & Bea
