Allow me to introduce myself...
My name is Rachel, the new manager of Perfect Blend. I joined the team as a barista back in March 2026 and am ecstatic to take on this new role!
I grew up in Morris and graduated from MCHS in 2021. In the fall of 2025, I moved to the Dwight area with my loving fiancĂŠ and our two very sweet Labrador retrievers.
I came to Perfect Blend with prior experience as a barista. While attending college, I worked at a Caribou Coffee in River Falls, Wisconsinâthe same town where I attended college. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) in May 2024 with a degree in Animal Science (Pre-Veterinary Medicine), with an emphasis in companion animals.
During my time at UWRF, one of my favorite experiences was working as an animal welfare lab research assistant. That opportunity eventually led me to my position as a program technician for UWRFâs Humane Handling Institute. I had the incredible opportunity to meet and work alongside renowned animal behaviorist Temple Grandin during one research project. For a long time, my dream was to become a veterinarian. Little did I know that life had something completely different in store for me.
For years, I never really felt like I fit in anywhereâwhether it was at a job, in clubs, or even at school. I always felt like I was searching for where I belonged. Now, I can proudly say that Iâve found my calling, and I couldnât be happier with what I do here at PB.
Lastly, I canât thank the Dwight community enough for being so welcoming and kind to me since joining this wonderful small town. I hope I can return that same appreciation to the communityâeven if it happens to be in the form of a beverage!
