Once the Home Savings & Loans Bank headquarters is now a mid-century modern, 53 room boutique hotel in the heart of downtown. The Durham is a vibrant destination, inspired by the spirit of its namesake city, and built to serve its community. Locally owned and operated, The Durham is instilled with the energy of its surroundings and is a cultural hub for the vibrant and engaging downtown scene. Our team offers seasonal menus highlighting the abundance of high-quality ingredients grown and made by North Carolina farmers, cheesemakers, brewers, distillers, bakers, and fishermen. The rooftop and lounge overlooks the city, providing a scenic backdrop for guests to enjoy cocktails and selections from the raw bar while making meaningful connections. Forging collaborations with many local businesses including custom made blankets by Raleigh Denim, coffee by Counter Culture, Escazu Artisan Chocolates, The Durham strives to be a true community amenity. Witches Night Out takes over The Roof on Thursday, October 29, from 6 to 10 PM, with three woman-owned pop-ups and a themed menu alongside regular service. Erin Harker of reads tarot, Alexandra Williams of offers aura readings with mini photo sessions, and Ayden Love of has flash tattoo pieces available all night. DJ EMELCiE plays all night. 🔮 Pop-up experiences are available for purchase.

You can work from the Coffee Bar all day without buying a thing. Tables are free from 7 AM to 9 PM, and when you do want something, the counter pours Counter Culture coffee and the kitchen runs all day. It’s on the first floor of The Durham in downtown.
