Kick off summer at our Summer BreakOUT in the Park on Monday, June 15 from 4-8 p.m.!

This fun-filled day is all about creative, budget-friendly ways for families to stay active once school is out, with hands-on activities, simple crafts, and playful learning you can recreate at home.

At this event, ReadandFeed.org will be collecting new or gently used children’s books for grades K–5 to help build home libraries for local students. The collection bin will be available in Guest Services on June 15 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Stop by on Monday for family fun, and to share a book with your neighbor!

Super excited to return to the Kirby Derby this Saturday at Dorothea Dix. First race at 3:30.

This Saturday, August 23, at Dix Park is going to be busy, busy, busy!

🎪 Kicking things off at 2:00 pm is the TeenSpace Vendor Market, where middle and high school entrepreneurs will showcase and sell their creations at a fun outdoor market.

🏎️ Then it's time for wacky downhill soapbox racing with the annual Kirby Derby, starting at 3:30 pm with pinecar races followed by a fun costume parade through Gipson Play Plaza and finally the soapbox derby at 5:30 pm.
