The last Together We Care Tuesday for Meals on Wheels Orange County, NC was a little low because of a storm that came through our area that day knocking out power.
I am still very happy to have just dropped off a check to them for
$ 70.65.

On September 12, we will have Kelly and her non profit " Connect 4 Faith " at our Applebees for their first fundraising visit.
I have been a supporter for Connect 4 Faith for many years now and am proud to have them in our store.

I am proud to announce that my church will be apart of the
" Together We Care Tuesday " fundraiser this coming Tuesday August 29 at the Applebees in Durham where I work.
To help support this day you can purchase one of the 5 menu items listed on this paper and 50% of that sell will go to Mount Zion.
This fundraiser is from open 11:00 am until close at 11:59 pm ( all day long ) and you can either dine in or take out.
The address is 5340 McFarland Dr Durham NC. It is right off of exit 270 off the interstate.
Hope to see you there.
Andy will be there from 5:00 pm until about 8:00 pm with a table set up with brochures talking about our church and anyone can talk to him to learn more about what Mount Zion does for its neighborhood.
Mount Zion has been a part of its neighborhood since 1826 in the Snow Camp / Liberty area.

Today Applebee's presented a check for $ 220.54 to Crayons 2 Calculators for their last Together We Care Tuesday fundraiser.
Thank you to all who came out to help support them.
It is so wonderful to witness our neighbors showing their love and support for these great non profits.

I am proud to announce that my home church Mount Zion Baptist Church of Liberty will have their first fundraiser with Applebees in Durham with the Together We Care Tuesday fundraiser on Tuesday August 29th.
There are so many programs that Mount Zion participates in.
From their back packs with food for 2 different schools to the many other ways that they help in their community.
Since 1826, Mount Zion has endeavored to shine the light of Christ throughout her community, where she stands as a beacon on a hill.

A little history this morning.

Thrive Restaurant Group bought the Applebees restaurants in North Carolina and South Carolina that were previously owned by Dinebrands less than a year ago.
Thrive is now the 2nd largest Applebees franchise in the USA.
Thrive now owns a total of over 100 Applebee’s restaurants in several different states.

I had the chance to go down to the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill for a tour of their place.
They will be at Applebees on August 22 for another fundraiser with our program " Together We Care Tuesday ".
