We had the privilege and honor to host the Blessed Trinity Catholic High School Cheer team for a pregame meal before their recent football game against Marist!

We did a full spread and build your own quesadilla bar - but because a few of the attendees had dietary needs and restrictions, we were happy to make and set aside a few special meals.

If you have dietary needs and restrictions, we can always accommodate!!!! So be sure to ask and if you’re planning a fun event, we’re happy to help!!!

Tonight concludes our 5 Night run of cooking and catering meals for Temple Emanu-El of Atlanta for their Sukkot celebrations!!!

But not just any celebration, they are interfaith nights with other local church’s, mosques, temples and other religions, where they have meaningful interactions and conversations, discuss Sukkot (the celebration of the fall harvest) and get to know their neighbors in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs… all over our cooking.

Mediterranean cooking that is 🙂

Tonight we have a deconstructed chicken Kebob, fire glazed Kebob veggies, steamed sautéed veggie medley, a balsamic pasta salad, roasted pita, rice and a Mediterranean Greek Salad. No dairy tonight!

It’s been soo much fun cooking this and seeing and hearing how you all have been celebrating the holiday, meeting new friends and enjoying our food! The catering team loves the challenge, especially given these circumstances and occasion. What Temple Emanu-El is doing is awesome and we love seeing interfaith outings and being a part of them!!!!

Continuing the celebration of Sukkot at Temple Emanu-El of Atlanta, our catering team had the pleasure, privilege and honor to do a feast for their congregants again! But this time, it was a different interfaith night, with a local church, as they celebrated Sukkot, ate dinner in the Sukkah, and had a fantastic intermingling session…

…all over a fantastic, healthy, colorful and fruitful meal from our catering team!

For those that don’t know, Sukkot is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the end of the agricultural year and gives thanks for the fall harvest. In addition, it celebrates the 40 years the Israelites were in temporary shelters, Sukkahs, so retelling the story and enjoying some of the fall harvest is a mitzvah. Especially to do with a different faith and have a fantastic meeting of the minds.

And while our Mexican food is lovely, this called for a special menu. More of a Mediterranean fusion, if you will. As photographed, we did a Mediterranean pasta salad (no dairy allowed), a fantastic mix of fresh veggies and a lean seared fish topped with a cherry tomato red onion garlic glaze… in addition to other fun dishes for this lovely group.

While we enjoyed thinking outside the box, it was fun doing a different cuisines that is in our wheelhouse! Stay tuned to tomorrow’s photos of the other dishes we’re doing for tonight’s next interfaith dinner!

As part of the Jewish Holiday of Sukkot, and celebration of the Fall Harvest, we were tasked to cater an interfaith dinner for the synagogue and their counterparts from a Hindu temple.

The fun part: kosher style, no meat, not spicy, limited dairy items, no garlic and no onions. Not too worry, our catering team got it!!! Thanks Temple Emanu-El of Atlanta for the opportunity!!

Fun Tex-Mex menu:
Four bean chili (with sooooo many veggies)
Rice (tough to make without onions and garlic, but we did!)
Queso dip
Many salsas
Chips
Steamed Veggies
Fall harvest Salad

Successful and delicious! Gives us ideas on fall and future menu ideas!!!

A motivational Monday from Mr. Darren

The National Charity League of Dunwoody was out in full force yesterday in Dunwoody Village. About 7-8 girls came by and asked to speak to manager or owner. Some asked for Darren. He came out and was greeted by them and handed this card. And told that they were going around the Village spreading their cheer.

Well thank you NCL Dunwoody for giving Darren and the whole team a smile today. It made our day and we wanted to let you know that we wanted to pass along the smiles to all!

“Do you have hot sauce” was asked to Angelica. She got Darren from the back.

His response to customer, is the sky blue.

He giggled.

He offered a few options. To which the response was yes.

So here you go, information overload. Homemade hot sauces, homemade cured peppers, homemade (sliced) peppers and more.

Ask and you shall receive 🙂

A spicy Sunday to all!!!

In our kitchen, we have a longstanding joke that whenever we add condiments, specifically salt and pepper into an dish, regardless if it’s in marinading or actual cooking, we have to do a little dance.

But not any dance, it’s the Salt N Pepper Push It dance. Whether it’s a dance, shimmy, a salt and pepper move, it’s a requirement. And we finally caught Mr. Darren doing it while making some brisket this AM!

We love what we do. Let our love for cooking, serving and making drinks for you be shown in our smiles and dance moves!!!!!
