📝 Chapter 1 - Let’s Talk About What’s Inside Our Bánh Mì
Today, we’re going to discover what exactly goes inside the Classic and the Grilled Pork - your top two favorite bánh mì at Bánh Mì 135.
📍Let’s start with the Classic.
This one feels like the bánh mì we grew up with. Three different types of pork come together, and each one brings something different: a little chew, a little softness, and that juicy bite. Then comes the butter and pate, the part that makes it feel extra satisfying.
Of course, we didn’t want it to feel too heavy, so we add pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, cilantro, and our house sauce to freshen everything up.
At first, we thought the Classic would always be everyone’s favorite. I mean… it’s the Classic. How do you compete with that? 😂
📍Then Grilled Pork came along.
This guy has a totally different personality. It’s warm, savory, a little sweet with a slightly caramelized edge, then we added our creamy butter, and suddenly… the Classic had some competition. 👀
Now these two have been fighting for the #1 spot ever since.
