You know we’re big believers in supporting local businesses, especially the ones run by people who pour way too much time, money, caffeine, and questionable life choices into keeping something alive. 😂

So today, we’re sending some love over to DuBois Music Zone!

🎶 Allow us to introduce the man behind Longoria Entertainment Services: Rico Longoria—a man of many talents and a degree in absolutely none of them. 😂

Rico is the kind of person who doesn’t wait around for someone to teach him how to make things happen. He figures it out, puts in the work, and somehow turns a new idea into another successful adventure.

As the owner and DJ behind Longoria Entertainment Services, Rico brings the music, energy, and entertainment to weddings, parties, community celebrations, and special events of all kinds. But DJing is only one of the many hats he wears.

He and his family are also the proud owners of LES Event Center, a growing space created to bring people together for celebrations, entertainment, and unforgettable memories. And if that wasn’t enough, they also own DuBois Music Zone—helping keep music, creativity, and local talent alive in our community.

On top of running multiple businesses, Rico also serves as a recruiter for the National Guard. His dedication to his family and incredible work ethic can be seen in everything he takes on. Whether he’s serving his community, building a business, helping someone begin a new career, or keeping a dance floor packed, Rico gives it everything he has.

DJ. Business owner. Event-center owner. Music-store owner. National Guard recruiter. Husband, father, friend, and professional collector of responsibilities.

No formal degree required—just talent, determination, approximately 47 different job titles, and apparently no ability to sit still.

📣 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS—ANSWERED! 📣

Are you closing any of your current locations?
No! We are not closing any current Garbage Pit location.

When will the new Curwensville location open?
There is no official opening date yet. The building requires quite a bit of updating and preparation before it is restaurant-ready, and we refuse to rush through it. We want to do this right!

Will the new location be open seven days a week?
No. We will not operate seven days a week. There may also be days when the restaurant would normally be open but must close for a scheduled private event.

Will you be serving alcohol?
No. The Garbage Pit will NOT be serving alcohol. However, there may be advertised public events in the future that are restricted to guests 21 and older because they will be BYOB.

Please be patient with us. Opening a restaurant is hard work—especially when a building needs extensive updates to become the space we envision. Rico and the LES family have given us an incredible opportunity, and everyone involved is working hard to bring this new chapter to life.

A little location update from The Garbage Pit! 🦝💚

🏈 Our Reynoldsville location is still closed for Homecoming Week.

🍔 DuBois is up, running, and trucking along—ready to feed all you hungry trash pandas!

🔨 Meanwhile, the Maters have spent the last two days putting down new flooring at our future Curwensville location, and today we’re trading the flooring tools for paintbrushes!

There is still plenty of work ahead of us, but every new floorboard and fresh coat of paint brings us one step closer. We can’t wait for you to see what we’re building with LES Event Center!
