Massaman Curry
It is believed that this dish was introduced to Thailand by Persian merchants and soon became an integral part of the Thai Muslim cuisine. In fact, historical writers believe that the name Massaman could also have been originated from the word 'Mussulman' which is another word for Muslim.
The flavors of Massaman Curry Paste are influenced by Malay and India with the fragrant spices coriander, cumin, cardamom and cinnamon. It is then perfectly balanced with classic Thai spices, the sourness of tamarind and slightly sweetened. Massaman is usually make with chicken and always a few chunks of potatoes that have delightfully soaked up the coconut milk like a sponge. Massaman Curry is usually eaten with rice.
What does “cook to order” mean to you?
I've always taken "cooked to order" means that they don't cook it until after you order and its not sitting around under a heat lamp!
All of Thai dishes are cooked fresh right after you order; each takes about 10-15 minutes. And will be served in the order of arrival of requests.
