Our new menu is here, and the Tuscan Pasta with Blackened Shrimp is making a pretty strong case for forgetting everything you said about eating healthier this weekend.

Creamy Tuscan pasta, blackened shrimp, and absolutely no regrets.

Come hungry, bring a friend, and make sure it's someone who won't ask for half your food.

Comment with your favorite new Poppy's menu item.

Created in collaboration with Poppy’s and Mitchell Hardware, this private barrel celebrates the history, character, and hospitality of one of New Bern’s most iconic stores.

Its name, “Hi Friend, Welcome,” comes from the father of Mitchell Hardware’s current owners, a man who believed that everyone who walked through the door was a friend, and everyone was always welcome.

That same spirit lives in this bottle. Available Saturday, October 10 at store opening of the Glenburnie and Downtown ABC Stores. Limites quantities available, get them while you can!

Twenty-five years. We remember the 2,977 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward the danger, and the families who still carry it every day. New Bern remembers.

We’re getting a little glow-up.
Poppy’s is closed for renovations and reopening Friday, September 18th. Same good food, same good drinks, same good company, just a fresher room to enjoy it in.
Thanks for your patience, New Bern. See you on the 18th.

This year’s Maker’s Mark Private Select at Poppy’s is more than a bourbon; it’s a toast to New Bern and one of the businesses that has helped define it for generations.

Created in collaboration with Mitchell Hardware, this private barrel celebrates the history, character, and hospitality of one of New Bern’s most iconic stores. Its name, “Hello Friend, Welcome,” comes from the father of Mitchell Hardware’s current owners, a man who believed that everyone who walked through the door was a friend, and everyone was always welcome. That same spirit lives in this bottle.

This is an invitation to experience New Bern the way we believe it should be experienced: with history, hospitality, great conversation, and something memorable to share.

Hello Friend, Welcome. Pour yourself a little piece of New Bern and join us for an incredible dinner experience on Thurday, October 8 or Friday, October 9.

Visit www.bitesandbarrels.com for tickets before they are sold out!
