One thing I’ve learned during this caking break?

For a long time, people asked me who I thought I was.

The truth? I’ve been becoming her my entire life.

I’ve worn different hairstyles. Different sizes. Different titles. Different seasons. But one thing has remained the same: I’ve always been authentically me.

The world will try to convince you that growth means becoming someone else. It doesn’t.

Growth is having the courage to become more of who you’ve always been.

Every lesson. Every setback. Every win. Every version of me was necessary to get here.

Now, at 40, I’m standing in a life I once only imagined. Not because everything was perfect. Not because everyone believed in me. But because I never stopped believing that the woman I saw in my mind deserved to exist.

This bloom isn’t about beauty.
It isn’t about money.
It isn’t about success.

It’s about alignment.

It’s about finally looking in the mirror and recognizing the woman you’ve been fighting for all along.

Update on my reset from overworking…

What am I supposed to do with myself? 😂

Y’all, I made a Bundt cake last night… and frosting. I swear I’m addicted. But at least I wasn’t crunching numbers while ingredient prices change every five minutes. I wasn’t waiting on a pickup order or answering cake emails either. 😩✨

I’ve started brainstorming my next Cake Therapy event… but only a little bit at a time. Baby steps.

I do need to get serious about finding a commissary kitchen. And there I go again… already trying to solve six months of problems in one afternoon. 😅

Let me go sit down somewhere.
