Dear Juice and Jazz Cafe Fans,
Greetings from the Clemente course in the humanities! We hope you and your family are all safe and well. We are recruiting for next year’s Clemente Course, which is starting September 13.
This year, we’re offering courses in art history, literature, philosophy, American history, and writing. However, we will again be teaching online, due to the continuing complications of covid. More positively, this year again we’ll have wonderful writing tutors from Brandeis University who will work with students, individually and in groups.
We’re very excited about the new possibilities of our enduring course – most of all the opportunity for rich and sustaining conversations and community, in addition to free books and college credits for those eligible.
However, given the restrictions of teaching the course online again, we need your help more than ever in spreading the word about the program, and contacting potential students -- friends and family and colleagues who might be interested in exploring the humanities, and in getting six transferable college credits. If you know anyone who would be interested in this class, please pass along the attached flyer, and ask them to fill out the online application. And if you haven’t already completed the course and would be interested in rejoining it, please go to the application form at that site.
The deadline for applications is September 7. Once we receive an application we will contact potential students to schedule a telephone interview and discuss this program with them in more detail.
Many thanks, and best wishes.
