This week at Grass Roots!

Looking forward to highlighting some locally grown food this week: Sweet potatoes and squash from Jim's Greenhouse, kale and beef from the Krebill family farm! One day, our whole menu will be created from locally produced food. A girl can dream... 😉

Friday lunch 11-2: butternut squash soup and a bacon jam + gruyere grilled cheese. Also serving this for our first Saturday lunch from 11 -2!

Saturday breakfast we've got biscuits and gravy 8-10:30 and of course cinnamon rolls!

Sunday: sausage rolls and cinnamon rolls

The last of the Baja bowls are going out tomorrow, Friday!

We have royalty in the shop in the morning, come congratulate our homecoming court around 7:30 tomorrow morning!

I don't know how or why the caption to this brownie chunk photo didn't post, someone fire me 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Mayra made some fudgey brownies so we could make a little special this week: brownie fudge milkshakes! Our frozen custard blended with a scoop of these house made fudgy brownies and chocolate syrup! And if you prefer we can also add these as a topping on your dish or cone! 🟫

Holly was outside working on some artwork tonight for the fall frenzy!! 🎨

Our apple c***r slushy is up and running! 🍎

As we clean out our soft serve machines tonight and restock, I have decided we're going to have a little flash sale on the oldies but goodies 🙂. These cups, pints, and quarts are either more than a month old or are incorrectly labeled. Most of these are chocolate, vanilla, or chocolate vanilla twist but we do still have few frozen vanilla yogurt pints!

All this week, you can purchase these guys half price! After that, I'll be sending them home with my employees. They will be marked in the freezer!

Full price is of course our PUMPKIN PIE CUSTARD (yes, Carey, I have yours saved to the side 🙂), chocolate, vanilla, and chocolate vanilla twist! We will also be making a few ice cream sandwiches with our extra cookies 😋

Fresh Friday lunch : October 2nd 11-2
Italian sausage soup: *not spicy* mild italian sausage, sweet potatoes, spinach, peppers, parmesan, herbs, garlic

Build your own small/medium Panini on sourdough:
You choose:
Meat: ham, turkey, chicken, no meat
Cheese: Swiss, gouda, muenster, cheddar
Toppings: spinach, tomato, bacon
House-made spread: garlic herb aioli, Chipotle mayo, honey mustard spread

Cup of soup $5
Grilled cheese $5
Just the panini $7
Soup + Panini combo $11

The desert tomorrow will be a surprise because I kept Mayra out of the kitchen today, so we'll see what we come up with tomorrow 🙂

Although we've got a rainy start to the season, we're FALLing for this October menu! 😎

We're extending our Fresh Friday Lunches to Saturdays too! So we will have soup and sandwich combos all October for both Fridays and Saturdays from 11 AM - 2 PM! And if we have any left overs we'll discount them and put them in the fridge as Heat & Eat soups!

We're sticking with our Heat & Eat bowls through October. As I post our weekly menu reminders, I will explain what each bowl is in a little more detail (not quite enough room on this menu 🥲).
