Happy Sunday Ya’ll!
I just wanted to send out a message of love, gratitude and humble appreciation to all of our friends, family, and patrons who came out in droves to support us this weekend in the midst of all of this controversy and chaos.
Thank you so much ALL of YOU for your loving and positive words of encouragement, your sincere warm hugs, and your peaceful wisdom. You are the reason why we do what we do and work as hard as we do! This weekend showed me outstanding fellowship and comradery like I’ve never felt before! Thank You All!!!

Hi everybody! This is Amanda Lynch, the owner of the Blue Fish Cafe in Dongola. This is the first time I have had the chance to sit down and read all of the angry questions and comments about my husband requesting 2 State Police Officers to disarm upon entry. Let me start by saying I am the sole owner and my husband works for me. I couldn’t afford to stay in business if I didn’t have family help. I have worked far too hard (over 12 hours everyday, 7 days a week) to let the stupid comments of a man ruin my efforts. I think all the ladies out there can understand that if our families or businesses were judged based on the most stupid comment our husbands uttered, we’d all be in big trouble.
We often have police officers eat here and correctional officers. Even a few local judges and attorneys. We go out of our way for ALL of our customers and even stay late when necessary to accommodate the local correctional officers needing a place to wind down after work with good food and drinks. I am truly sorry that this happened. Had I been in the dining room, it would NOT have happened, but I was working hard in the kitchen. I would like to extend a sincere apology to those 2 officers and invite them back for another try, on the house. And to all the people who have filled my inbox with hateful disparaging comments and threats…. Your comments and threats and hope for my demise is far worse than one sentence my husband should not have said.
