Making good beer is a combination of art and science. A brewer pours his heart and soul into each creation. Being able to share that creation with other beer lovers is a great feeling. I'd like to say that seeing the satisfied smile and the nod of approval is all the payment we need, but we are going to have to charge you for the beers. :)

Introducing The Lawman 132 — A b**r brewed in memory of Dave Ploutz.

Dave was part of our extended brewery family, and the kind of person you don’t forget. He proudly spent 30 years serving on the Kansas Highway Patrol, retiring as a Captain in 2010. Beyond the badge, Dave was known for his gentle spirit, deep faith, love for his family, and yes… his appreciation for a good brew now and then.

We lost Dave in 2024 after his courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), but his legacy continues to inspire everyone who knew him.
The Lawman 132 is our small way of honoring a life well-lived — and giving back in his name.

This b**r is part of the Ales for ALS™ program, with a portion of every pour supporting the ALS Therapy Development Institute and the fight to end this disease.

If you raise a glass of Lawman 132, we hope you’ll join us in remembering Dave — a true lawman, a loyal friend, and a genuinely good man.

❤️ We Are Here
This has been weighing heavy on our hearts.

What is happening right now with ICE and immigration enforcement is affecting families from many different countries and backgrounds. But when we look around Southwest Kansas, we don't see countries or immigration status.

We see people. We see families. We see our neighbors.

They live here. They work here. They raise their children here. They farm, work in our plants, feedyards and dairies, teach, start businesses, and work hard for the American Dream.

Our kids grow up together. We sit beside each other at school activities and community events. We work alongside one another and help each other when life gets hard.

This is home.

We know there are strong feelings about immigration, ICE, laws, and policies. This isn't about asking anyone to change what they believe. It's about remembering that behind every headline are real people and real families, and right now, some of those families are scared.

For me, this is personal. I was born in Mexico. My parents made their own journey into the unknown, scared of what was ahead, because they wanted a better life for our family. I will forever be thankful for the sacrifices they made and the life they worked so hard to give us.

Everyone has a story, and we rarely know the whole thing.

We don't have to agree on every political issue to have compassion. We don't have to come from the same country or share the same story to care when someone in our community is hurting.

We are neighbors.
We are families.
We are Southwest Kansas. ❤️

When part of our community is hurting, I hope we never become so divided that we forget how to simply care for one another.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the ingredients for this week's special were not delivered. Unfortunately, this means there won't be a pizza special this week.

To make up for it, we are offering our usual Friday Date Night special tonight (Thursday 9/24)! Come in and order two full pours of our b**rs, Booze Hill Shandy, or Strawberry Limoncello, and receive $6 off a pizza.

We're open from 4-10 p.m. and hope to see you here!
