💗 Why We’re Doing Mae’s Monday
At The Rail Yard, we believe that sometimes a small community can make a BIG difference — and this one is especially close to home.
Mae is a sweet 1-year-old little girl from Altamont who was recently diagnosed with Leigh syndrome, a progressive and terminal disease that affects the brain and can eventually take away a child’s ability to walk, talk, and eat. Right now, there is no cure.
But there is hope.
A gene therapy has already been developed and is moving toward its first human clinical trial. Funds are needed to complete the final steps and bring this potential treatment to children like Mae.
This cause is especially close to our hearts because one of the owners of The Rail Yard, Scott, is cousins with Mae’s mom, Mackenzie. This isn’t just a fundraiser for us — this is family. ❤️
So on Monday, September 28th, from 5:00–7:30 PM, The Rail Yard is opening its doors for Mae’s Monday.
Proceeds from the evening will go to Mae’s Miracle to help support the fight for Mae and the hope of getting her the treatment she needs.
And if you can’t stay and eat, carry-out orders count too!
Come grab dinner, have a drink, bring your family and friends, and help us show Mae and her family just how much their community is behind them.
For Mae, this isn’t just research.
This is her chance to live. 💗
September is match month, our proceeds will be doubled!
Good food. Great people. One little girl worth fighting for.
