The countdown is on! 🎶🔥 Our Baobab Fare Block Party is almost here.

Here's the rundown: we'll be grilling outside all evening with a dedicated patio menu — Chicken Brochettes, Lamb Brochette, Fried Plantains, Vegan Sambusa, Chicken Sambusa, and Fizzy straight from the cooler.

Just head to our outdoor server to place your order and pay, and we'll bring the food right out to you. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the upbeat African music while the sun goes down ☀️

The weekend is just getting started!

If you've been meaning to stop by for a meal, you've got an extra hour to make it happen.

We're staying open until 10 PM every Friday and Saturday through August 29, so gather your people and come enjoy a summer evening with us.

Join us Wednesday the 19th from 6–9PM for an evening of grilling, good music, and even better company right on our patio at Baobab Fare (New Center, on Woodward).

We'll be firing up the grill outside with a special patio menu: Chicken Brochettes, Lamb Brochette, Fried Plantains, Vegan Sambusa, Chicken Sambusa, and ice-cold Fizzy to wash it all down. Craving something else? Our full menu is always available inside!

Starting this Friday, we're extending our weekend hours through the end of August! Join us every Friday and Saturday night from July 31 through August 29, and enjoy your favorite East African dishes until 10 PM.

At Baobab Fare, we believe good food starts long before it reaches the kitchen. It starts with healthy soil, thoughtful farming, and people who genuinely care about what they're growing.

That is why we work closely with farmers here in Detroit, in Burundi and also Honduras. It's also why we encourage everyone to shop local whenever they can. Visit , meet a farmer, join a CSA, ask questions, and try something you've never cooked before.

Food has always been about more than what's on the plate. It connects us to our communities, our health, and each other.
