160 years ago, Vernor’s Ginger Ale was born in Detroit. It’s run in our blood for generations since. So when we got the call to help celebrate 160 years and revive a Vernor’s ice cream that hasn’t existed since the 1980s, we locked in.
This might be the hardest flavor we’ve ever made and required us to be technically excellent ice creamers. To capture everything that makes Vernor’s Vernor’s, we layered in four different sugars, two forms of ginger, and a specialty double-concentrated vanilla. We even added a dab of real Vernor’s syrup to get those barrel-aged notes.
Come be one of the first people in the world to taste it. The Vernor’s 160th Anniversary Celebration is happening tomorrow at Eastern Market, 1–4pm. Stop by for the festivities, and stay for the scoops and floats we’ll be serving all afternoon.
If you can’t make the event, we’ll have Vernor’s ice cream at both shops, too.
Proud to be a Detroit company carrying a Detroit classic forward.
