Reminder that we will be CLOSED all day tomorrow for Garryn’s Celebration of Life at the restaurant. We will see everyone again on Tuesday! Thank you!!!

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of one of our very dear friends, and team member at Boshamps, Garryn Young. He has been a part of the Boshamps family for over 7 years, and since day one, we knew that he was somebody we could all count on. Garryn was always the guy with a smile and always offering a helping hand. His work ethic and attitude made him a leader in this restaurant, even if he didn’t realize it. He worked almost every position imaginable, from the front of the house to the back, and he excelled at all of them. 2 days before his passing, he was awarded the Boshampion Employee of the Month, unanimously by his peers. Usually, that award is difficult to pick, but Garryn was a hands down, no doubt, absolutely, no question pick that everyone was ecstatic to award. He will be greatly missed, every day at Boshamps, but we intend to celebrate him and his life at Boshamps on September 16th at 12:00pm at the restaurant. We will close that day, for a potluck lunch. We would appreciate anyone that ever met Garryn, or interacted with him at the restaurant, to attend and pay respect to him, and attempt to comfort his grieving immediate family, and his Boshamps family as well. To honor Garryn’s love of our beautiful Gulf waters, guests are encouraged to wear a shade of blue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Garryn’s memory to Saving With Soul Pet Rescue or Road Dog Rescue. Love you G!

Bojamz 2023 (Part 2). Boshamps FAMILY. As difficult as it is to describe my appreciation to the Destin community for their support on Saturday, it is equally as difficult to emphasize how proud I am of my staff, management, and entire team at Boshamps, for everything they did on Saturday, to make Bojamz such an amazing success. You cannot imagine the countless hours of work, and orchestrating, coordinating, and planning an event like this actually takes. Throughout the years, I have watched this team grow into a literal family, and could not be more proud of their hard work and passion to represent me and my family, not just through this event, but every single day at Boshamps. Over the past 10 years, I can honestly say that beside my immediate family and children, I cannot think of a single thing that I am more proud of. The dedication, passion, and hard work of everyone on our team is absolutely overwhelming, and I am forever grateful for every single one of them. Most of our crew has been with us for a long time, and we've been through some tough times together, building our reputation, and showing our local community and tourists alike, that we are here, doing what we do, for THEM. We live for it. We want to show everyone that although it certainly seems so, hospitality is NOT dead, but ALIVE and WELL in Destin, FL. This team of people, from top to bottom, have me asking myself "how do we do it", almost every single day. It is most certainly a lot of work, and this business is tough from time to time, but the bright attitudes, and culture that we have created here, makes it all worth it. I am constantly reminded how fortunate I am to have such a great team and work family, and look forward to trying to provide the best, most positive and rewarding work environment as I can to them. I am constantly asked if I can believe what I have created here, and my answer always has been, and always will be, that I didn't do anything, but that WE have created something I never dreamed was even possible. I am forever thankful to everyone on this team and look forward to continuing our journey to be the best that we can be here at Boshamps. THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️
