Fresko Our name, meaning “fresh,” inspires our creation of seasonal menus made from locally sourced ingredients from the bounty farms of Iowa.

The culinary team prepares product from start to finish, applying natural, time honored techniques with care at every step. Fresko features a splendid assortment of original cocktails with a deep spirits menu and a b**r program with sixteen b**rs on tap, in addition to bottles and cans. Fresko's w**e menu focuses on quality selections at a great value to our guests. Happy Hour is 4-6 pm Monday through Friday!

DSM girlies, this was only the beginning. 🫶

Our first DSM Girl Dinner was electric. Three courses, three cocktails, a little VinZant Wines flowing, and unmatched feminine energy around the table.

Katie Wiklund created this series to bring local chefs, local produce, local shops, and our girlies together over good food and a shared love for our community. You helped turn that vision into an unforgettable night.

To our first dinner crew: we can’t wait to have you back. And if you missed this one, we’d love to meet you at the next. Bring your bestie or come ready to make a new connection.

A LITTLE CHANGE OF PLANS, GIRLIES 💚

We were so looking forward to gathering by the lake with you, so it’s a little bittersweet to share that our upcoming DSM Girl Dinner is moving from Gray’s Lake to Fresko.

We know some of you were just as excited about the lakeside setting as we were. While we’re sad this dinner won’t happen there, we’re still looking forward to sharing a beautiful evening around the table with you at Fresko.

And we haven’t given up on that lakeside dinner! We’re working toward bringing it to Gray’s Lake on a date better suited for spring or summer.

Thank you for your understanding, your flexibility, and your support. We can’t wait to welcome you to Fresko. 💚

When you have a girl dinner, then you HAVE to make your announcement cute. ✨

We are only 4 days away from our DSM Girl Dinner!

Mother Nature has NOT been cooperating fully this month, so if we feel it is going to be too chilly/wet and icky we will be moving our dinner to Fresko downtown.

Don’t worry, this will not be the only time to do this girl dinner outside, we are working closely with our friends at DSM Parks & Rec to create another girl dinner at Grays. (If Mother allows us too 😆)

Tickets will be available up until Saturday at 11PM so we can ensure we have everything prepared correctly.

If you have an announcement for a girl dinner, then you must make it cute! 🤗

DSM Girl Dinner is only 3 days away!

Mother Nature has had the weather a bit crazy, so if the weather is too chilly/wet and rainy to hold at Gray’s Lake we will be moving it to Fresko. We will email all who purchased tickets the day before to let you know what the final plans will be.

If you wanted to absolutely have this at Gray’s Lake don’t worry, we are in the talks of doing more of these with our friends at Des Moines Parks & Rec. (No dates have not been set yet!)

Thank you to those who have already purchased tickets, and if you haven’t yet don’t forget to do so! Saturday night at 12 AM we will be shutting down ticket sales to ensure we can prepare properly. 🫶

Meet the Pop’n Sisters | Balloon Decor Des Moines !

These two have been working around DSM tirelessly to bring beautiful backdrops, balloon arches, and even flower walls to events so you can have a little extra personal touch without the extra time. (Which who doesn’t LOVE saving time?)

After collaborating with them for our Pints & Ponytails hair class, it was obvious, we needed to partner with them!

We are excited to announce we will be adding them to our event package! If you have a bridal shower, corporate event, or baby shower, you name it, and these girls have the set up for it. 👏

By saying thank you to our sponsors for making the first off site DSM Girl Dinner collaboration possible! (If you haven’t already get your tickets now before they are completely gone. We allowed for 10 extra people to join due to such high demand so make sure you snag them!)

DSM Girl Dinner is a series created by Katie Wiklund to help bring local vendors together in a way that would allow them to show who they are and connect with the community by doing what they do best through an event!

Friends of Des Moines Parks (Des Moines Parks & Rec) worked with us so we to could hold this event to Katie’s vision, being on Christine Hensley Terrace so we have a full Gray’s Lake view while we enjoy a 3 course dinner with zero proof pairings 🌇

Pop’n Sisters | Balloon Decor Des Moines will be providing our beautiful backdrop so anyone who wants a photo opp can have the best of the best behind them

Wildflower | Floral Design | Wedding & Event Planning has the decor ready for this and is making it this the most gorgeous dinner while highlighting our beautiful city at the same time

is setting the stage with allowing us to use their dinner tables so we can have this dinner family style and make true meaningful connections

Dale Rinderman and his team Savor The Rise curated this amazing menu for us and will be working with DSM Pasta Co. to give you the freshest bucatini you’ve ever tasted
