Happy New Year from Carrie & the Whale Bites Cafe Crew!�Carrie says: “I am so excited to welcome the next era of Whale Bites Cafe.
It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 8 years since I opened the cafe. From the very beginning, my vision was built around three goals:
1) Providing healthy, locally sourced food.
2) Offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
3) Using local seafood to create a variety of seafood entrées.
Over the years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside amazing teams who helped bring this vision to life and build Whale Bites Cafe into what it is today. As we move forward, I’m excited to continue growing all three goals—especially expanding our local seafood offerings—and to do so with the input of our community.
I’m also excited to introduce our new managers, Tyler and Hazel! Here’s a message from them:
“We are Hazel and Tyler, and we are excited to continue building something special from the strong foundation of Whale Bites. Our goal is to continue creating a welcoming space that celebrates fresh, locally sourced food at the heart of the community.
We are proud to carry forward the values that guided us while operating our own food truck—prioritizing high-quality Oregon ingredients, supporting local producers, and fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. We look forward to growing alongside the Depoe Bay community and serving food made with care, intention, and heart.
