October begins with Carw Gwyn’s traditional Irish session - tonight, Thursday, October 1st from 7:00-9:00pm, led by John Wilson & Megan Buettgenbach! The event is free to Carw Gwyn patrons. Join us for an exclusive and bespoke social deduction game of murder and intrigue in the perfect venue: Carw Gwyn medieval mead hall in Denver! Playing with you will be MARY LOU (Glass Cannon, Smosh, Faster Purple Worm, Kill Kill!, and Push the
Roll) and ROB KERKOVICH (Glass Cannon, NCIS: New Orleans), and your gamemaster will be DAVE HILL (Modern Family, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hill/Jones) for this special one-time only event!

Very limited tickets that include the gaming session, $2-off drinks during the event, free charcuterie (while it lasts) and photo ops.

Dave Hill has created a special fantasy murder deduction game that takes place in a mead hall; the very mead hall that you are in. Share, sneak, reveal and hide as you work to thwart or achieve the goals of a devious cabal of murderers. It’ll be fun!

5:00 PM - The event will start off with a casual cocktail hangout. Be real. Be nice. Get to know each other. We're all friendly, gamer nerds who enjoy each other's company. Take some pics, eat some eats, sip some sips.

5:30 PM - Now, throw that all out the window and let's find us a death-dealing, deceptive crew of killers. We will all circle up in the back of the mead hall as Dave sets the scene. A rather vain and oblivious socialite has been murdered. Everyone wanted her dead,
but who would actually do it. Over the next 120 minutes you will either discover the guilty party or perish. Who do you trust? How much do you trust them? How little do they trust you? The answers will determine the winners!

MURDER AT THE MEAD HALL is a customized social deduction game. The rules will be explained and you do not need any prior experience. Any materials necessary for the game will be provided. If you come in cosplay we will incorporate that into your character.

Fantasy Game Night returns to Carw Gwyn tonight - Friday, September 25th! Bring your friends and your games to join an evening of roleplaying, tabletop and card games, food, drinks, and good company in the most evocative fantasy setting in Denver!

Seating is limited, so come early or call ahead for your best chance. Remember that lighting at Carw Gwyn can be somewhat “atmospheric,” so bring supplemental lighting if necessary. Please note - there will be a $20 minimum order per person at gaming tables.

The autumn equinox is upon us, bringing balance between the light and dark halves of the day, and marking the beginning of the descent into the dark time of the year. As the official start of fall, it marks the second harvest, when we can see what our efforts through the year have yielded – helping us plan for the coming winter.

Sometimes observed as Mabon, named for the divine Son of the divine Mother in Celtic mythology, it is a time of gratitude for what we have achieved and a time to prepare for transition.

We at Carw Gwyn are grateful for all of our wonderful friends and patrons who have joined us through the past many months! We look forward to seeing you again to share new fall menu items coming soon, alongside your perennial favorites!
