Join us every 2nd and 4th Thursday for an evening of comida, música y comunidad.

Each night will feature a different style of food and music, brought to you in collaboration with our event partner

We’re kicking off the series on March 26th with a special collaboration with Mariachi Quetzal. 10% of proceeds from the evening will support their fundraiser for Mariachi Spectacular this summer ☀️

I’m deeply grateful to have gotten to know you over these past 5 years. I will never forget your kindness, your unique sense of humor, and your immense knowledge and dedication to preserving and sharing our culture. You will be greatly missed, but I know you will continue to live on through your music, your teachings, and through the family who have become a second family to me. Wednesday, February 18th | 5–8PM

Hecho en Westwood is launching a new monthly event series focused on bringing our community together through collective action and care.

Join us for our first night of the series with an evening rooted in love, solidarity and connection. In partnership with , we’ll be assembling Know Your Rights packets + whistle kits, screen printing community designs (bring your own garment), taking photos with incredible local photographers, and gathering around música y comida.

Come learn more about what Hecho en Westwood and Movimiento Poder have planned for 2026 and how you can get more involved within the community.

Screen printing and photos are free thanks to the support of our amazing photographers and partners. Donations offered during the event will go directly to support Movimiento Poder and the important work they’re doing.

I wrote something similar last year before our 5-year anniversary, and honestly, the sentiment hasn’t really changed. It’s been a really hard start to 2026, and I haven’t really felt motivated to plan a celebration.

This weekend marks Cultura’s 6 year anniversary since we opened our little cafe in Westwood. And despite everything happening in our world right now, I’m deeply grateful for what Cultura has grown into and for how our community has supported and helped shape us.

So even though this is last minute, we’ve decided to host a small anniversary brunch this Saturday, February 7th from 11am–2pm. We’ll have a special limited brunch menu, homemade conchas, and other pastries and treats.

DJ Ciencia will also be playing music on the patio. We hope you all can stop by and celebrate six years of Cultura in Westwood with us 🤎

The second bar in our Mu***os Collection, Xolito is a tribute to where Cultura started, inspired by our Dead Dog Chocolate days that came before Cultura Chocolate.

Honoring the Xoloitzcuintli, the sacred dog who guides our lost loved ones through Miktlán, this bar blends achiote, chile pequín, wild honey, and cacao lavado, prehispanic ingredients rooted in tradition and transformation.

Available this weekend at our café and at the Street Festival.
