Some nights, escape looks like a Mai Tai.
Sometimes it’s a table full of food, a room full of people you love, and a few hours where the rest of the world can wait.
That’s what Adrift has always been about.
These are our regulars. Our first-timers. Our crew. Friends who became family. People laughing, eating, drinking, celebrating -- escaping together.
And in a world that could use a little more of that right now, tomorrow’s Reel Escape Wednesday feels especially fitting.
We’re showing Moana for out last Reel Escape adventure of the season.
Call it a kids’ movie if you want. Beneath the Disney of it all is a story inspired by the cultures and voyaging traditions of the Pacific Islands-- about our relationship with the ocean, our ancestors, our communities, and remembering who we are when we’ve lost our way.
Those ideas mean something to us.
Tiki owes an enormous debt to Polynesia and the broader Pacific. While Adrift is ultimately a fantasy and a place of escape, we believe that escape is better when there’s curiosity, respect, and appreciation for the cultures that inspired it.
So tomorrow night, come sail away with us.
Grab a tiki drink. Eat something delicious. Bring your people. Forget about reality for a couple hours.
Moana. Reel Escape Wednesday. Tomorrow night at Adrift.
The world will still be there when the credits roll.
For a little while, let’s go beyond the reef. 🌊
