I usually don't speak out on the social media but my family is facing difficult time and I want to share my story and explain why you don't see us in the store the last month.
After 13 years of building our business and our life in the US, everything changes in the last days; our visa renewal has been denied by the US Embassy.
We arrived in France a month ago for our appointment at the US embassy thinking it would be a temporary visit. But our visa requests has been denied, and we are now facing an indefinite stay in France. All our belongings, our home and even our beloved pets- Mika, Kyoho and Yuki are still in the US and all our family is not allowed anymore to go back in the US.
Most concerning is the impact on our daughter. This school year, She is a junior in High School. She has attended school in the US since Kindergarten. As our family cannot return to the US, she is unable to go back to school. She is now unable to continue her education properly and risk missing critical academic milestones, including her AP and IB exams, which are essential for her future. This disruption is not only affecting her education but also her emotional well-being.
Our goal is to return to Colorado as soon as possible. To do so, we must begin a new immigration process with an attorney.
The cost is around $16 000, an amount we simply cannot manage on our own right now. As we are not able to work, we don't have any revenue.
