What a month.
At 3:00 in the morning, on our way to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, we hit a deer.
The impact destroyed the radiator on our refrigerated delivery van, leaving it stranded on the side of the road. The biggest problem? There were 115 buckets of ice cream inside that had to keep moving. With the van no longer running, time was against us.
Giving up wasn’t an option.
We turned around, grabbed our personal truck, loaded the disabled re**er van onto a flatbed, and got back on the road. After nearly 10 straight hours of driving, we made it to Telluride, delivered every bucket, served an incredible festival, and made the trip back home. (No sleep)
Running a small business isn’t always glamorous. Sometimes it’s 3 a.m., smashed radiators, unexpected detours, and doing whatever it takes to keep your word.
This month has been absolutely wild, but one thing hasn’t changed: when our customers are counting on us, we’ll find a way.
Thank you to my incredible team and management. Of course everyone who supports Polar Bros. Every scoop, every event, and every order means the world to us. We don’t take your trust for granted, and we’ll keep doing whatever it takes to deliver.
Here’s to a little less wildlife on the highway… and a whole lot more ice cream. 🍦💙
