Meet Hanmei and Derrick of Hoffman Farms

Hanmei grew up in southern China in a family of farmers — raising ducks, mangos, sweet potatoes, and bok choi. She never imagined she’d farm again after coming to America… until she and Derrick turned a small 3-acre garden in Greeley into an urban farm in 2014.

By 2016 they were growing faster than they ever expected. Today? They farm over 100 acres and feed schools, families, and communities all across the Front Range.

Derrick grew up farming in Loveland with his grandfather and father, but spent 22 years in education before coming back to the land. Now you’ll find him on a tractor or out in the fields making sure every season starts strong.

This week, their harvest shines in our Roasted Butternut Squash Galette — with Hoffman-grown squash, kale, onions, and sage wrapped in flaky, golden dough.

Farmers like these are the heart of everything we do. 💛
