A Quick Refresh & A Surprise in Derby

After a meeting earlier this week, I decided to swing through Derby to grab a watermelon agua fresca from La Michoacanita. There is nothing quite like fresh-cut fruit poured over ice—it was the perfect way to recharge.

While waiting for my drink, I walked across the street to Mimi’s Shop to pick up some "just because" flowers for my wife. The second I stepped inside, the interior was stunning, and the scent of fresh blooms was absolutely exhilarating.

If you haven’t visited these two spots yet, they are absolute local gems. Do yourself a favor and check them out; both are located right in the heart of Derby here in Commerce City.

Una parada rápida y una sorpresa en Derby

Después de una reunión a principios de esta semana, decidí pasar por Derby para comprar una agua fresca de sandía en La Michoacanita. No hay nada como la fruta recién cortada servida sobre hielo; fue la manera perfecta de recargar energías.

Mientras esperaba mi bebida, crucé la calle a Mimi’s Shop para comprarle unas flores a mi esposa, simplemente porque sí. En cuanto entré, el interior me pareció increíble y el aroma de las flores frescas era estimulante.

Si aún no han visitado estos dos lugares, son verdaderas joyas locales. Háganse un favor y pasen a conocerlos; ambos están ubicados en el corazón de Derby, aquí en Commerce City.
