Wow.
This has been a long two days. We need your help, we know life is getting crazy expensive but please tell your friends and family about us. Bring new people to the truck instead of supporting mega chains and the rich. Go out and support your mom and pop restaurants and businesses like ours. Your hard earned money deserves quality and quantity not shrinkflation and greed.
Texas Health & Human Services has now taken over licensing of mobile vendors. This means licensing and health inspections are no longer in the cities hands nor is it affordable. Something we thought was supposed to help and benefit businesses like ours has turned out to be a money grab for the state. It gets worse… not only has our licensing/all fees for the year gone up from a couple hundred dollars to $1500+ we are being charged another $500 every time we get a routine inspection(this initially was included). We still have to pay for fire marshal inspections and other fees to Denton.
How does this change help food trucks you ask? Instead of paying for a cheap one day operating permit for other counties for events we can just go serve there🙄🙄🙄
We can now pull up and serve wherever we want- not limited to having agreements, street vending is allowed again 🙄🙄🙄
ALSO BEEF- we are doing everything in our power to keep beef on the menu. Burgers, pastrami, brisket are all being hit by inflation exponentially. If the prices continue to rise like they are we only have two options. Raise prices on our beef items or discontinue them until prices drop again.
Come see us, we love seeing you all & we appreciate you.
