What a week at The Cake Sisters!
This week was filled with birthdays, picnics, graduations, gender reveals, monster trucks, Snoopy, Toy Story, cupcakes galore, and plenty of "just because" treats. We had the pleasure of creating so many special orders, and we truly enjoyed every one of them.
But my favorite story of the week belongs to a sweet little girl named Mayci.
Mayci came into the bakery with her grandmom's credit card and a very important mission: custom cupcakes for her 10th birthday - TODAY! She knew exactly what she wanted... Fuggler cupcakes.
Now, I'll admit it—I had to ask, "What in the world is a Fuggler?"
Mayci happily educated me, and I got to work. When I called her Grandmom to say her cupcakes were ready, Mayci rushed right down to the bakery with her newest stuffed Fuggler in hand. Seeing her face when she picked them up absolutely made my day.
My heart smiled from here to Texas. :)
Moments like that are what The Cake Sisters is all about. Not just cakes and cupcakes, but being a small part of the memories that make life special.

Too hot to bake?
Perfect. We've already done it for you.
This week, we've made enough Texas sheet cakes to stretch from Delaware City to Albuquerque... or at least it feels that way.
Add in just as many trays of delicious peach cobbler for a large Corporate event with Medline Industries. Include cupcakes, pastries, scones, custom cakes combined with the corporate order, and it's been one busy week in our kitchen.
While the temperatures have been climbing, we've been mixing, baking, frosting, and filling our cases with plenty of sweet treats.
The good news? The cases are full, the air conditioning is on, and there are plenty of reasons to stop by.

Here are just a few of the cakes that kept our mixers spinning, our ovens humming, and everyone busy this week.

Every cake has a story behind it—a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, baby shower, or simply a reason to celebrate—and we are honored every time you choose us to be part of those special moments.

This week, our custom cake orders more than tripled, and while we're incredibly grateful, it also reminded us of something...
Unlike flour, sugar, eggs, and butter, we haven't figured out how to keep extra hours on the shelf in the bakery.
If you know you have an event coming up, please consider ordering ahead. We'll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but our calendar can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Ordering early helps ensure you get exactly what you want and helps us plan our baking schedule a little better.
Thank you for keeping our ovens busy, our hearts full, and occasionally making us wonder what day of the week it is. 😊

🚨 OFFICIAL CAKE SISTERS ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
After carefully reviewing all submissions, our highly trained panel of experts gathered for hours of intense deliberation.
By "highly trained panel of experts," we mean a group of tasters standing around talking cake, fillings, frosting and peanut butter cups.
There were debates. There were arguments. There may have been frosting involved.
But a decision has been made.
The winning name for our new chocolate and peanut butter masterpiece is... Perished by Peanut Butter!
Congratulations to Leah Bee who submitted the winning name!
Thank you to everyone who participated. We loved reading your suggestions and had so much fun following the comments.
Now the only question left is...

Our Decadent 'Death by Chocolate' has finally met its match...
We've created a new cake loaded with chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse, alternating peanut butter and chocolate buttercream layers of icing, Reese's crumbles, peanut butter buttercream, and full-sized peanut butter cups.
So what's the problem?

We have no idea what to call it.

Death by Chocolate has a name. This peanut butter creation needs one, too.
So we're turning it over to you...

Last week's cakes were almost too pretty to eat... almost.
