Sunday morning, sunshine on the water, and a mimosa that never runs out. On Sunday, September 6th at 10:30 AM, we're inviting you aboard the Lake Lawn Queen for a 90 minute cruise across Delavan Lake, with champagne and assorted juices poured the entire time. Beautiful lake, good company, bottomless mimosas; that's really all there is to it. Tickets are $40 with limited spots for Labor Day weekend. Summer does not get a farewell tour. This one does.

Last Splash of Summer takes over 250 lakefront acres September 4–7: four nights of live music, boat tours, and a bottomless mimosa cruise on the Lake Lawn Queen. There's a bonfire, a night swim, and (Sunday afternoon) a beach full of cardboard boats racing, and sinking. Four days.

September 16th is the final Vineyard Voyages dinner of the summer, and it carries weight: the 50th anniversary of the Judgment of Paris, the blind tasting in 1976 where a California Chardonnay from Chateau Montelena beat the best of Burgundy and rewrote the wine world's assumptions. Allisun Grandy, Regional Manager of Chateau Montelena, will guide the evening aboard the Lake Lawn Queen.

Four courses, each paired with a wine that earns its seat at the table. The night opens with a warm Wisconsin apple and aged Gruyère tartlet, paired with Chateau Montelena's own Chardonnay (the same producer, fifty years later, still setting the bar). Course two is Chablis and herb poached halibut, paired with Domaine Laroche's Chablis Saint Martin. Course three is a slow braised, bone-in beef short rib, rich enough to stand up to Chateau Montelena's Cabernet Sauvignon. And dessert is a hazelnut and chocolate mousse trifle, paired with Secret del Priorat.

Sixteen days out.

A few days in the sun and on the water take more out of your skin than you'd think. The Pure Fiji Sugar Glow at Calladora Spa starts with a coconut milk massage, moves into a raw cane sugar and tropical seed oil scrub (the good kind of exfoliation), and leaves skin replenished instead of just relaxed. Fifty minutes, and you walk out feeling like the lake didn't win.
