Some buildings are simply old. Others are storied. 🏛️

Nearly a century ago, the arches on Woodland Boulevard began welcoming travelers to downtown DeLand. They have greeted winter visitors, young families, proud Stetson parents and weary road-trippers ever since. The building holds a place on the City of DeLand's Register of Historic Places, and it wears that honor with comfort: soft beds, warm wood floors, and a front desk that knows the neighborhood.

Music tonight at The Lounge, 6 to 9. 🎶

Cliff Cassidy takes the stage downstairs at the Artisan this evening. He is a Florida singer-songwriter with more than 1,500 songs to draw from, from '50s rockabilly and Motown to soft rock, country, island, folk and blues, plus a few originals of his own. No cover.

Then Homecoming weekend rolls on. Friday, Dalton James brings Americana, 6 to 10 PM. Saturday, Reclaimed Wood plays 6 to 10 PM. Sunday afternoon, Sonny Reece is back from 2 to 5 PM.

The Historic ARTISAN Downtown Hotel was built for travelers. Visitors from the North came down the line to winter in DeLand, and this building on Woodland Boulevard gave them a warm place to land.

A century later, the travelers are still coming, and tonight they get a soundtrack. 🎶

JW Gilmore has spent more than 20 years on the harmonica. As he tells it, his road runs from Baton Rouge to Fort Lauderdale, and along the way he has picked up Showmanship awards at the Florida Harmonica Championships. He plays traditional blues in the Muddy Waters and Little Walter tradition, solo tonight, live from 6 to 10 PM.

Blues has always been traveling music, and this hotel was built for people on the move. Tonight those two stories share a room: a cocktail lounge inside a building on DeLand's Register of Historic Places, a harp, and a seat with your name on it.

No cover. Order from the Black Book of handcrafted cocktails, settle in, and stay for the last song.
