We're open today. Downtown DeLand till 3pm and the drive-thru till 5pm. ☕🇺🇸 Did you know coffee helped fuel the American Revolution?**
Most people know about the Boston Tea Party, but few know the story that came afterward.
☕ Colonists had already been enjoying coffee for generations—the first documented coffee grinder even arrived on the **Mayflower** in 1620.
🏛️ Boston's first coffeehouse opened in **1676**, nearly 100 years before America declared independence.
🗣️ Coffeehouses quickly became gathering places where merchants, patriots, and everyday citizens exchanged ideas, discussed politics, and helped shape the movement for freedom. In fact, the famous **Green Dragon Coffeehouse** in Boston was one of the meeting places where plans for the Boston Tea Party were developed.
📜 Even John Adams wrote that after the Tea Party, he was served coffee instead of tea because, as his host explained, they had "renounced all Tea."
For nearly 350 years, coffeehouses have been about much more than great coffee—they've been places where friendships are made, ideas are shared, businesses begin, and communities come together.
At **Boston Coffeehouse**, we're proud to carry on that tradition every single day.
This Independence Day, stop by, raise a cup, and celebrate America's history—one great cup of coffee at a time.
Happy 4th of July from your friends at **Boston Coffeehouse!** ☕❤️🤍💙
