To our amazing Up Top Café community,
We’ve heard the rumors, and we want you to hear the news directly from us:
Yes, Up Top Café is for sale.
This was not an easy decision, and it certainly wasn’t the future we imagined.
As many of you know, Kira, our manager, got engaged earlier this year and has been planning to move back home to Minnesota to begin the next chapter of her life with her fiancé. Our original plan was always to keep Up Top open after her move.
Then life changed.
Recently, Brenda, our owner, was diagnosed with a brain disease and will need to relocate to focus on her health. With everything that has happened, we made the incredibly difficult decision that selling the café is the best path forward for our family.
Please know that Up Top Café is still open. Until the café is sold, we will continue serving our community just as we always have.
A few important updates:
• Our loyalty program will officially end on August 1. Please stop in and redeem your points before then so you don’t miss out on the rewards you’ve earned.
• If you have an Up Top Café gift card, we encourage you to use it soon. Gift cards will continue to be accepted while the café remains under our ownership.
• We’ll continue to keep you informed throughout this process. When a sale happens, you’ll hear it directly from us.
Up Top Café has become so much more than coffee. It has been morning routines, lunch dates, study sessions, first dates, business meetings, birthday breakfasts, long conversations, and a place that feels like home.
Thank you for believing in our dream, supporting our family, and sharing every drink, conversation, smile, and memory with us. No matter where life takes us next, Up Top Café will always be one of the greatest chapters of our lives.
In the meantime, we’re still here, and we would love to see you.
