Woof-woof! It’s National Dog Day.

For those who enjoy taking their dog places and visiting The Landing, you can do both. Dogs on leashes are welcome outside on our patio -- and to the free dog treats we keep on hand.

Our patio is open 7:30 am-7 pm Sunday-Wednesday, 7:30 am-9 pm Thursday-Saturday as is The Buzz which serves a wide assortment of hot and cold beverages.

Tomorrow, Sat., Aug. 22, Pulpit Rock Brewing, The Landing’s sister business and neighbor, celebrates 11 years on the corner of 5th Avenue and College Drive. Festivities abound from noon-11 pm: music, fun and games for adults and children, a fun tap list, and fireworks!

Special $11 pricing tomorrow gets you:

What’s for lunch @ Justin’s restaurant inside The Landing? The Chicken Bahn Mi Sandwich.

When we say we use local ingredients, sometimes we mean really local – like out the back door.

Shai, a barista at The Buzz, tends The Landing’s herb garden, hand-picking sprigs and leaves for various cocktails and other cold drinks like:

• Mint for mules, mojitos, and our seasonal special the Tequila Mockingbird and mint flowers for a special touch of color
• Basil for our new Strawberries and Gin
• Rosemary for the Blue-Rosemary vodka lemonade

The Buzz offers a large selection of cold and hot beverages, with and without alcohol, with and without caffeine. The Buzz opens daily at 7:30 am and closes Thur-Sat. at 9 pm and Sun-Wed at 7 pm.

What’s better after a hard day’s work than a Smash Burger from Justin’s restaurant at The Landing? Doubling the order and eating with a friend.

Among Justin’s most popular, our Smash Burger is a 4-ounce Luna Valley Farm ground beef patty on a toasted brioche bun topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, local greens, tomatoes, onions and house-made pickles. It comes with a choice of fries, tots or a side salad.
