12/15/2021
After marking our 16th year in business, we wanted to let you know that we have decided to
close Duck's Kitchen.
Our last day of operation will be
Saturday, December 18, 2021.
The past 16 years have been both challenging, and rewarding. We are proud of what we've accomplished, and grateful for the community we created.
We want to thank all of you for supporting us.
Some of you have been with us from the very beginning- November 3, 2005.
Some of you are new to our place, but you are all very important to us.
We can call many of you dear, dear friends.
Without you we would not have made it through 2020, and the onset of the COVID crisis.
Although we have made a partial recovery, we, like many small businesses, have not been able to fully make up the ground we lost.
For several years Duck and I have considered retirement. Looking ahead at the winter months, the continuation of COVID and it's many variants, we decided that now is the time to make a graceful exit, and retire.
We want to say a special thank you to our landlords at East Decatur Station. They really stepped up to help during the COVID crisis and beyond.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have been tenants at EDS.
Although Duck's will be closing on
Saturday, Dec. 18, our baking will continue to operate under the management of our talented head baker
Tangia Bolton.
So, you can still enjoy our scones, cookies, donuts, and chicken salads at all the Dancing Goats, and the Corner Cup coffee bars.
Thank you again for your love and support.
Cindy, Duck, Anne, and Kim
