OK - We planned on making this our "summertime deal" but since the summer weather is here already, we might as well start now:
After a long, hot day at work, there's nothing better than a $2 beer to let you know that you - the working men and women of Decatur - are appreciated by your favorite tavern. We have a FANTASTIC St. Patrick's Day planned this Saturday! First of all, the main event is the St. Baldrick's Fundraiser - watch as your friends get their heads (and beards) shaved to raise money for children's cancer research. There will be great items up for auction and other opportunities to donate if you haven't already. Then - enjoy a fantastic plate of Irish Food - all made from scratch in our kitchen. Corned Beef and Cabbage with root vegetables, Irish Stew, and authentic Irish Soda Bread - all on one plate for a very special price - with some of the proceeds going to St. Baldrick's! And - we'll be featuring "The Irishman" Whisky along with your favorite libations from the Emerald Isle! Don't forget to be wearing the green!

Trackside is hosting a "St. Baldrick's Event" to raise money for children's cancer research. Our event will be held on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17th! Come to one of the best places in all of Atlanta ("Second Best" actually, according to the AJC!) to watch the Superbowl on Sunday. In addition to our usual menu items, our "Soups of the Day" are going to be 'New York Giants Manhattan-Style Clam Chowder' AND 'New England Patriots New England-Style Clam Chowder'! And our "Blue Plate Special" for February is 'Chicken Parmesan with Angel Hair Pasta' made with our own house-made marinara sauce. Our Soup Cookoff is back - Sunday, January 29th. All the details are on the flyers that are hanging at the bar but all you really need to know is to bring your crockpot full of home-made soup to Trackside by 3:30 on the 29th in order to enter. Any kind of soup is eligible (broth-based, cream-based, chowder, bisque, etc.) - if it's soup, you can enter it!
We had 21 entries in our Chili Cookoff in November - let's try for more soups!

January 20, 2009 - A fire destroys Trackside Tavern, a Decatur institution.
January 20, 2010 - We gathered to toast our lost bar with Jello Stacey Shots.
January 20, 2011 - We gathered again, knowing that the rebuild was happening.
January 20, 2012 - We're back, we're beautiful, and we're toasting for a cause!
Join us on Friday, January 20th at 7:00 PM as we once again raise a
Jello Stacey Shot to our beloved tavern. Since we’re open now (and legally can’t give away alcohol) we are going to charge $3.oo per shot and donate to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.

Founded in 1982 by a group of DeKalb area firefighters, the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation's (GFBF) goal is to help burn survivors in their journey of recovery as well as to prevent others from experiencing the traumatic event of a burn injury.

We're opening at 1:00 today - come watch all the bowl games starting with Michigan State vs. Georgia in The Outback Bowl at 1:00. We also got Ohio State vs. Florida, and Nebraska vs. South Carolina - all at 1:00. Then, Wisconsin vs. Oregon in The Rose bowl at 5:00 and Oklahoma State vs. Stanford at 8:30 tonight. Come on in - we're ready for ya!
