The Java Bean Café opened for business on October 17, 2008 with the mission of providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for people to relax, enjoy a tasty cup of coffee and wonderful food. We loved seeing so many familiar faces, catching up with friends, and welcoming new customers through our doors yesterday during Downtown Decatur Day!

Between the vendors, the car show, the food, and all the fun downtown had to offer, you certainly kept us busy and we're grateful for every single person who chose to spend part of their day with us.

Whether you stopped in for your favorite coffee drink, breakfast, lunch, a donut, or just a quick break from the festivities, thank you for supporting our little coffeehouse.

One of our favorite things about being in downtown Decatur is getting to be part of a community that shows up, supports local businesses, and makes events like this so special.

We're open our regular Saturday hours, 8 AM–2 PM, serving up all your favorite coffee drinks, Heyerly's donuts, fresh pastries, breakfast favorites, and lunch options to keep you fueled for all the Downtown Decatur Days fun.

Either way, we're pretty thankful for our crew. They show up with smiles, remember your favorite drink, and somehow make early mornings a little easier.

A quick note: Dogs are welcome on our patio, but are not permitted inside the cafe. If you're visiting with your furry friend, simply grab a patio table and use our easy table-side ordering system. We'll bring your order right out to you!
