🎓✨ Big congratulations to three of our amazing team members — Chloe, Mary, and Emma — on graduating from Decatur High School! ✨🎓

We are so proud of these hardworking young ladies and everything they’ve accomplished both at school and here with us.

💛 Emma has been serving with us since December 27th and always brings a great attitude and work ethic every shift. She’ll be attending UGA majoring in Biomedical Physiology!

💛 Mary has spent the last 5 months crushing it in our kitchen and has become such an important part of the team. She’s headed to UGA to study Psychology!

💛 Chloe has been an absolute leader in our kitchen for the past 8 months and can cook circles around most of the senior staff 😂🔥 She’ll be attending Georgia Tech as a Biology major!

Watching these girls grow, work hard, and chase big goals has been really special. We appreciate all they’ve done for us and can’t wait to see what the future holds for each of them.

Congratulations ladies — your restaurant family is cheering you on every step of the way! ❤️🎓

🍕🔥 Some folks still don’t know… but La Calavera Pizza is part of the Ford’s BBQ family! Same restaurant group, same obsession with good food, just trading smoke rings for pizza dough.

If you haven’t checked them out yet, you’re missing one of the coolest little pizza spots around. La Calavera makes their sourdough pizza crust in-house using a 100 year old Italian starter that’s older than half the houses in Decatur. That dough’s got more history than your uncle’s fishing stories. 🇮🇹🍕

And they truly believe in “pizza for everyone.”
They make their OWN gluten free dough in-house instead of pulling a frozen crust outta a box. They’ve also got a whole wheat crust that’ll make you rethink every “healthy pizza” you’ve ever had.

Got vegan folks in the family? They’ve got homemade vegan sunflower seed cheese, shredded vegan mozzarella, and vegan meats too. Nobody gets left out at this table. 🌱

And if you’re a Ford’s BBQ regular… go get the Birria Pie. They use our smoked brisket birria on it and good gracious, it’ll make you wanna slap the steering wheel on the drive home. 🤠🔥

Well y’all… life came in hot today like a cast iron skillet left on high 🔥😅

Ford’s BBQ Oakhurst will be CLOSED for lunch today while we handle a few behind-the-scenes curveballs. Sometimes the smoker runs smooth, sometimes the universe says “bless your heart” and throws the whole brisket at you at once.

We’ll be back OPEN at 4PM for regular dinner service, ready to feed y’all the bbq therapy you deserve. ❤️

Thank you for always giving us grace when life gets a little smoky around the edges. We love our Oakhurst family more than a fresh pan of mac & cheese.

Happy Birthday to the man behind the smoke, the pizza dough, the cold beer & organized chaos, Jimmy! 🎉🔥

Today is extra special because not only is it Jimmy’s birthday, but his oldest son is graduating high school too. Proud dad mode is definitely turned all the way up today. 🎓❤️

Jimmy is the owner of Ford’s BBQ, The Local no. 7, The Stratford,La Calavera Pizza, and Ford's Chicken coming soon… because apparently one restaurant-induced headache just wasn’t enough. 😂

But the thing about Jimmy is he’s never been the kind of owner who hides in an office. He’s the guy washing dishes when we’re slammed, running the smoker before sunrise, bartending on a busy night, carrying boxes, fixing problems, and somehow still making the restaurants run smoothly, efficiently, and with a fun atmosphere.

One minute he’s giving a pep talk, the next minute he’s asking who left the walk-in open, and then wrapping it all up with “moving forward…” like we’re all in a very smoky TED Talk. 🤣

Truthfully though, we appreciate everything he does for all of our teams. Jimmy leads from the front, works harder than anyone around him, and cares deeply about the people who work beside him and the family he’s built.

Today we celebrate a great boss, an amazing dad, and an even better guy.

Big shoutout to Keller Williams Metro Atlanta for spending their Red Day celebration with us at Ford’s BBQ! 🍻🔥

The beer was flowing, the chicken skewers disappeared at record speed, and the birria tacos didn’t stand a chance 🌮💨 Add in some awesome live music and you’ve got yourself one heck of a Thursday party.
