Disclaimer: in this post i vent/inform‼️ 🗣 Although we were very thorough ,checking with everyone (DPH , planning/zoning, richmond county utilities supervisor)before finalizing the decisions to create a semi permanent location for our business. Some how the exact set up ,that we triple checked before paying over $6,000 to set it up, is against Code 🤷🏾♀️. This email also reads that we do not return back to the base of operations daily. Planning and zoning (business licensing) prohibits my large trailer to sit out front of our residential place (base of operation). I had to pay an extra fee for a “special permit” bc my base of operations was a residential. This special permit specifies that I not park at the residence . My residence is my base of operation bc the city of Augusta has absolutely no commissary kitchens. Yet we are REQUIRED to have a commissary kitchen in order to operate a mobile food business in Richmond county of August,Ga (discrimination at its finest). Forcing mobile food service business owners to either spend thousands of dollars to make upgrades to there homes ,forcing them to rent an actual restaurant, forcing them to give up , or forcing them to simply lie about how they operate (putting their business and brand at risk) 💯 . I can say so much more BUT I am just sharing this little information with those trying to do what I am doing to inform you that these people in Richmond county (especially the DPH on north leg road) will play with you and your money. They played so many games with us , had us spending so much money , changing or making aware rules as they went (instead of laying out all of the do’s and don’t from the beginning), sending us on wild goose hunts , and again being very vague with information, rules and regulations. We spent over 7k just to get pass dhp games . They carried this on before we had our licenses, while we were trying to get them, and now that we have them and can pass any inspection with flying colors they still play all day 💯👌🏾PLEASE beware when trying to run a truck/trailer in Richmond county of (I have receipts of all of the confusion and frustration that’s been caused)
