SHS 2026 Q3 end results - READ!
Some great news, some not so great news.
Start with the great. Our third fiscal quarter, the summer months, is typically our worst due to the excessive GA heat. This summer, due to the inclusion of two new weekly farmers markets this year, we exceeded all previous quarters since our beginning except for one (Q1 this year, always the busiest). This economy has been rough to say the least, and without these markets we wouldn’t have made it, but we figured out a working way to get by (and we love seeing our customers in person every week!). We’re planning on joining more asap.
The not-great news. Sales typically start revving up in September every year, but this past month our online sales dropped off a cliff. As with everything in our current economy, we were shocked. The farmers markets usually get us over the hump monthly, but online sales is our bread and butter, our foundation, and we just can’t make it without them. So despite the record quarter, its last month crashed and we’re feeling it.
So what’s the solution? Our reminder to all who love our meals to start stocking your cooler’s with the best variety of soups, well, anywhere - it’s soup season, y’all!
A side note: we periodically send these messages out simply as a reminder amidst a busy world that yes, we’re still around if you want what we offer. How many times have we delivered to homes who completely forgot that they DID order (LOTS)…! We’re not asking for sympathy or handouts, just orders of the best soups around, all made from scratch.
