RICK’S GROOMERS SNOW REPORT
Winter December 2025 - April 2026
RICK’S SNOW REPORT: As of 3/14/2026
Our new snow for the past 2 weeks has maintained our snow depth around the lodges, but still limited for the first 7 miles from the lodges. Our Sno-Tel depths have actually increased once you are at higher elevations. The forecast shows 6 to 8 inches for this weekend. We’re still hoping for one of our spring dumps! Riders are reporting good riding snow once you get out away from the lodges.

****Avalanche Danger is Low****
Snow has settled, but the new snow produces another surface. There is still the potential for
slides on East facing slopes.

The current Sno-Tel snow depths are as follows:
30 to 40 inches. 30% of the riding area
20 to 30 inches. 60% of the riding area
16 to 20 inches 5% of the riding area

Rick's current scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best:
Powder Riding: (6) Good base and tremendous wind has filled in the old tracks. Forecast is still 8 inches for the weekend.
Trails: (8) 90% groomed
Boondocking: (7) Riders can still find some untracked boondocking snow.
Cornice Jumping: (5) Wind has developed the cornices and fresh snow to land in.
Trail Riding: (8) 90% of trails are marked and groomed. Some grooming stopped due to open rivers.
Overall Riding Rating: (6) With our current base and 8 more inches of snow in the forecast this could become an 8 very easily. Trails to get to good snow are groomed and mostly snow covered.

RICK’S GROOMERS SNOW REPORT
Winter December 2025 - April 2026
RICK'S SNOW REPORT: As of 1/19/2026
We have received 8 to 12 inches the past two weeks. We have packed and groomed 90% of our trails. The best snow is still on Hunt Mountain and all areas to the North and South. Minimal snow around the lodges and out about 7 miles each direction. The 40 degree temps have tried to melt our groomed trails, but low temps have returned. Riders can still get to good snow using the trails.
Our base is good over 70% of the riding area, but varies in depth.

****Avalanche Danger is Med****
Some snow slides are still occurring, but not extreme. Although we have not developed many
sheer levels due to lack of snow, there is still the potential for slides on East facing slopes.
